Steve Schepker
Professor of Scenic and Lighting Design
Steve Schepker is a Professor of Theatre at SLU, where he oversees all scenic and lighting design for all Southeastern Theatre productions. Steve’s work outside of SLU includes scenery and lighting design for Tennessee Williams Theatre Company, Le Petit Theatre, The NOLA Project, Marigny Opera Ballet, Pensacola Opera, Pine Mountain Music Festival, Shreveport Opera, Tennessee Williams Literary Festival, University of Missouri - Columbia and the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. He has designed television sets for WYES and WLAE in New Orleans and the Southeastern Channel. Recently, he was awarded a Big Easy for his scenic design on Baby Doll at Le Petit. He has also received multiple American College Theatre Festival Design Awards for both scenery and lighting. Professor Schepker holds an MFA in Scenic Design and Lighting Design from Western Illinois University and a BS in Theatre and Mass Communication from Lindenwood University. [www.steveschepker.com]

Jim Winter
Artistic Director of the Columbia Theatre for the Performing Arts
Professor of Acting and Directing
Jim Winter is a professional actor, director, playwright, and producer. Jim is the author of four theatre textbooks and has edited several drama anthologies. The royalties from these textbook sales help fund the James Winter Endowed Theatre Scholarship and The Hymel Falgoust, Jr. Scholarship in Technical Theatre. Jim is a two-time winner of the National Endowment for the Humanities Endowed Professorship in Music and Dramatic Arts. In 2011, Jim was awarded The President's Award for Excellence in Artistic Achievement. As an actor, Jim has performed at Madison Square Garden, 13th Street Repertory Theatre, The Hudson Guild, The Kennedy Center, and Cleveland Public Theatre. He has also had the honor of performing in Ireland, Scotland, and The People's Republic of China. Jim has appeared in several motion pictures. Plays Jim has written have been produced in New York, Cleveland, Texas, Louisiana, Ireland, and Scotland. Jim ran the scriptwriting component of the University of New Orleans’ Low-Residency MFA in Creative Writing for nearly a decade. He is also the founder of Southeastern’s Inkslinger Playwriting Contest, which is now in its eleventh year. Jim has co-authored several screenplays, including 2022’s award-winning horror anthology, The Haunted History Tour. In 2010, Jim directed the Southeastern Theatre production of the original, student- written play, Parking Lot Babies, which won seven national commendations for excellence. Jim founded Southeastern's chapter of Alpha Psi Omega, the national theatre honorary, and served as the organization’s faculty advisor for almost twenty years. He is also the co-creator of Southeastern's annual Theatre and Communications Study Abroad program in Europe. Jim is a founding member of the award-winning InSideOut production company in New Orleans. He was also a co-founder of IMAGE production company and the Hammond Horror Festival. He is the former Vice Chair of Region VI for the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. Jim holds a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from the University of New Orleans and a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Baldwin-Wallace College. Anne-Liese Juge Fox
Instructor of Acting & Directing
Anne-Liese Juge Fox, Ph.D. Fox has acted professionally on stage and screen in Paris, France and on stages across the US In San Francisco, she was a company member of Theatre of Yugen and a founding member of Pacific Playback Theatre improvisational ensemble. Fox has developed multiple original solo and ensemble productions. She toured internationally her original solo Ego Rites, which was selected Best of the San Francisco Fringe. Most notably she was an original collaborator and played the role of “Zita” with Lisa D’Amour and ArtSpot Productions Obie-winning, Nita & Zita. Fox founded and directed NOLA Playback Theatre improvisational ensemble after the Hurricane Katrina levee break disaster and worked for eight years as part of the recovery efforts in community settings. She was a writer and performer of Swimming Upstream with Eve Ensler (V-Day), directed by Kenny Leon (Tony-winner, True Colors Theatre) and Ashé Cultural Arts Center. Fox performed in the premiere in the Superdome and on all subsequent national tours alongside celebrity performers Anna Deveare Smith, Phylicia Rashad, Shirley Knight, Kerry Washington, and LaChanze. Fox’s specialty as a theatre artist is in physical theatre, improvisation, devised performance, new play development and applied theatre in various practices. Fox is also a published theatre and performance scholar including a featured article in TDR on New Orleans performance after the Katrina levee breaks disaster. She served on the board for the International Centre for Playback Theatre and for ArtSpot Productions in New Orleans and is currently on the advisory board for the Columbia Theatre in Hammond and on the Louisiana State Thespian Festival board.

Mona Jahani
Assistant Professor of Costume Design
Mona Jahani (Assistant Professor of Costume Design) holds a Bachelor of Arts in Drama and Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis and a Master of Fine Arts in Theatre Design from Michigan State University. She is a costume designer, technician, and dresser; select professional credits include working with Williamston Theatre (MI), Summer Circle Theatre (MI), Stages Houston (TX), The Muny (MO), and Opera Theatre St. Louis (MO). For her recent costume design for "Monsieur d’Eon is a Woman", Mona was selected as a winner of the United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT) – Midwest 2022 Digital Design Competition, received an Honorable Mention in the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival (KCACTF) Region 3 for Theatrical Design Excellence in Costume Design, and won the 2023 Howard Vincent Kurtz Emerging Theatre Artist Award from the Costume Society of America.
